Diabetes: the causes

Blood glucose is the amount of glucose in the blood; it varies from 0.85 g / l to 1.20 g / l. Glucose levels depend on many factors, including diet that brings sugar to the body and therefore increases blood sugar; the physical activity that causes glucose consumption to make the muscles work and therefore causes a drop in blood sugar.

It is essential that blood glucose be normal; when a hyperglycemia (that is, too much glucose in the blood) is found in a patient, he suffers from diabetes. There is type 2 diabetes when the fasting blood sugar level is greater than 1.26 g / l (7mmol / l), checked twice.

For type 2 diabetes, the main cause is overweight, obesity. For this reason, sugar circulating throughout the body is misused. He can not penetrate the cells enough. It is the sharp increase in the number of obese in the world, which explains the increase in the number of diabetics.

There is an inherited part of type 2 diabetes, since if one of the parents suffers from this disease, the offspring is more likely to suffer as well.

For type 1 diabetes, the main cause is the significant decrease in insulin secretion in the pancreas. Type 1 diabetes occurs during early childhood.

Remember: Glucose is the amount of glucose in the blood; it varies from 0.85 g / l to 1.20 g / l.
it is called hyperglucemia (too much glucose in the blood) when the fasting blood sugar level is above 1.26 g / l (7mmol / l), checked twice.
