Supply of amino acids, glucose and electrolytes, when oral or enteral nutrition is impossible or insufficient.

It is a function of the level of nitrogen catabolism (estimated or measured patient).
The average dosage in adults is 20 to 30 ml / kg / day.
For a patient of 60 kg the average dosage is 1200 to 1800 ml / day (ie an hourly flow of 50 to 75 ml).
Which corresponds to :
240 to 360 g of glucose per day,
60 to 90 g of amino acids per day (ie 10 to 15 g of nitrogen per day).
The dose administered should not exceed 30 ml / kg / day.
Which corresponds to :
- 6 g / kg / day of glucose,
- 1.5 g / kg / day of amino acids (0.25 g / kg / day of nitrogen).

Against indications

- Premature newborn.
- Infant.
Due to the lack of data, it is best not to administer AMINOMIX 1 either during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
The administration of carbohydrates is not recommended in cases of lactic acidosis.

Adverse effects Aminomix 1

- Chills.
- Nausea s.
- Vomiting s.
- renal leakage resulting in imbalance of amino acids.
These effects are most often due to an infusion too fast.
